my power windows quit working, both driver and passanger door switches dont work. i tested all fuses and they work. i think its a power window relay. please help! my windows are stuck down ;-(
If the windows dont work is there are relay switch?
Allright with a voltimitter check your switchs so when you roll them up or down you have power to the switch if not its your door switch. if you do have power check if you have power to your motor. there is no relay switch theres only fuses.

On any type of car with power windows, it could be that the motor in each door has quit and therefore will not go up or down but it is rare that all three would quit working at the same time, so you may check to see if there is a "lock" on the windows - which is controlled by the drivers' side control panel.
After removing your transmission to change your freeze plugs you wanted to roll your windows down you dont have any power is this because the trany and starter are out..its a 1992 firebird v6?
On many cars the main power cable runs from the battery to the starter, and the power for the rest of the system is taken from there. So if the starter is disconnected, the power cable that goes to the main fuse box, and from there to your windows etc, is probably disconnected from the battery cable.
