The 1997 Ford Explorer has a 30 amp maxi-fuse in location # 10 of the power distribution box in the engine compartment for power windows/locks/seats. There is a relay in the box under the dash to the right of the steering wheel.
It is usually fuse number 12 in the fuse box and is a 7.5amp fuse.
On a 1997 Ford Explorer : In the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) located in the engine compartment near the brake fluid reservoir ( Maxi fuse # 10 is a 30 amp fuse for the power locks / power windows / and power seats ) according to the Owner Guide * the fuse is located in the 2nd row from the drivers side and the 3rd spot from the firewall end of the PD Box
I'm not a mechanic / technician but I was looking at the 1997 Ford Explorer fuse panel diagram and I noticed that fuse # 19 is a 25 amp fuse for the ignition coil and PCM system
On a 1997 Explorer, in location # 20 of your fuse panel, there is a 7.5 amp fuse for the radio, and in location # 29 there is a 10 amp fuse for the audio system.I'm not sure if there also is a fuse on the back of your radio.
