Remove spark plugs to see if they are wet or dry, wet, insufficient spark. Dry, insufficient fuel.
It takes 3 things for the engine to run. Fuel, spark, & air. You have air, and the truck turns over so you are missing either spark or fuel. You have to find out which of those you are missing.
You forgot fuel make sure you have fuel pumping to carb or injectors which ever you have.
Check for fuel, spark, compression
Fuel pressure? spark?
Check your Fuel Filter and Injectors. If that is good check your air intake
You didn't find the problem yet.
yes
It will probably start okay but, not run well.
Start with a good tune up. Could be a bum spark plug or spark plug wire.
There are a couple of a reasons why a 1994 Ford F150 truck will not start. The truck may have a dead battery or the spark plugs need to be replaced.
Spark plug wires are not installed correctly or the engine is out of time.
check to see if your distributor has a TFI module, if so it might be bad. The two usual reasons a car won't start are either lack of fuel or lack of spark (ignition). Pull a spark plug (pull off the plug wire boot, then get a spark plug socket and a ratchet handle and unscrew the spark plug). Reconnect the plug wire to the spark plug and hold the metal base of the spark plug against the metal valve cover or the engine block (something grounded) while someone else cranks the engine over with the ignition switch for a few seconds. If you don't see a spark jump the gap in the plug, you have an ignition problem. If you do have a spark, it's probably either lack of fuel to the cylinders or a timing problem that is causing the problem.
