Try turning the sterring wheel just a little while trying to turn the key. Also you might try pulling up on the gear shift lever if this is a column shifter while trying to turn the key. Hope this works.
Well, it sounds like the chip that is in your key may have broke or got stuck on a part of the ignition. I had that problem. This happened not long after I had had to have the ignition replaced?!?
i have that problem to it has something to do with the gear shift censor
how to remove key stuck in ignition switch in Chevy colbalt
could be your ignition
I had this problem and it turned out to be a dirty park switch located in the console shift (automatic), that releases the ignition in park. The mech cleaned it and the problem never returned.
I had the same problem my car said it was in the off position but the key looked like it was a little too the right, but if you look down at where your gas pedal is, there should be a cable to the right jiggle that up and down and your key should turn all the way to the left and you can take it out. Hope this saves you frustration and money
i have no clue i have the same problem with my Mazda 1999 626
I had this problem, the stick-shift was not fully in the 'park' position try and jiggle the stick.
The relay could be stuck.
The cooling fan temperture relay is stuck closed. Replace the replay.
sounds like you have connected the wires wrong on starter. if that is not the problem then you have a short either in ignitin switch or in the solenoid
Check your brakes and rotors
