You need to check the fuel filter and the fuel pressure regulator.
Under the intake
Intake manifold gasket
Yes you do. The distributor must be removed.
It depends on the engine size. Some are located on the side of the engine block and some are under the intake manifold.
I'm having my 1999 Suburbans done for around $600 this includes an oil change and tune up.
under neth intake manifold replae fuel lines while your under there.
You need to have the system pressure tested for leaks. The intake manifolds give alot of trouble.
A 4.3L engine has the fuel pressure regulator located under the upper intake manifold attached to the bank of fuel injector poppets.
Assuming you have the 4.3L engine it would be located under the upper intake manifold. After removing the upper intake manifold you will see the fuel pressure regulator attached to the bank of injector "poppets".
Check for leaks in the intake manifold or a poor fuel pressure situation.
Back of the block, have to remove the intake to get at it. Right beside the camshaft position sensor.
