A PREGNANCY Hcg level of 12 IS LOW AND THEN HAD LOTS OF BLEEDING COULD THIS BE A MISCARRIAGE?

I hate to scare you, but that is a possibility. Bleeding during pregnancy is common, however, large amounts are usually a sign of some sort of complication. While I am not a doctor, I have had 2 miscarriages, both occurring before week 12. Depending on how far along you are, a doctor may be able to confirm a presence or lack of a heartbeat via ultrasound or transvaginal ultrasound.
After two miscarriages, I started bleeding again with the third around wk7. I bled for almost 2 months but at 30 weeks I delivered a little girl. So, bleeding does not always leed to miscarriage, but it is a possibility. Go to the doc to ease your mind. Not knowing is torture.

Can taking oral provera cause a miscarriage?
Provera is perfectly safe for use during pregnancy. Doctors use Provera to help prevent miscarriage in early pregnancy and it is usually taken until 12 weeks gestation, when it is stopped because the placenta has formed and the placenta produces enough progesterone to maintain the pregnancy. Years ago, before they had the modern monoclonic pregnancy tests, they used Provera as a pregnancy test. If you did not bleed, you were pregnant. If you bled, you were not pregnant. Provera will cause you to get your period if you have missed your period due to hormonal imbalance. Provera will also stop your bleeding if you have some dysfunctional uterine bleeding (twice a day for five days). During pregnancy, Provera does not cause bleeding. Provera definitely does NOT cause a miscarriage and is definitely used during pregnancy, expecially if you have a low progesterone level.

You may of had a miscarriage. I only say that because your hormone level raises when you are pregnant and it takes awhile for it to go back down that is what may have happened you sould go to the doctor if it keeps happening.

ok, i can answer my own question now. the answer may help someone else. My daughter was pregnant and passed tissue we thought was a miscarriage. ultrasounds showed that her uterus had shed lining and become thin again. we were told by the doctor it was a miscarriage. she had to return in two weeks to get her pregnancy hormone level checked until it returned to 0. well her level had gone up from 562 to 8000 after the suspected miscarriage. had to go back to the doctor immediately and another ultrasound showed an etopic pregnancy. had to do surgery immediately.

Hi, I miscarried also 3 weeks ago, still bleeding and pregnancy test still positive. Nurse told me there are no "normals" when it comes to miscarriage, but in cases like this they like to keep an eye on you just in case. I have to return in a week for a 3rd blood test to monitor the hormone level and will be sent for a scan if there are still some pregnancy hormones, to check for left over tissue in the womb (which could cause infection if left). I asked about d&c and was told this was a last resort. Hope this helps, I just want it all to be finished now!

yes it could if you've had a positive pregnancy test, could be low progesterone levels needing supplement or threatened miscarriage I'd ask my doctor to draw a progesterone level, I did the same and had to miscarry my first before the doctor checked. they usually want "history" which i think is crazy.
