There are over 600 animal species listed on the Endangered Species List in the US alone, and over 700 plant species in the US. Then you have the list from the IUCN, The Red List with 5400 mammals, and that list goes on. If you could be a bit more clear about what type of species your interested in, would be helpful, then I can get you a decent list.
