Florence Nightingale was born in Florence, Italy on 12th May 1820 and died 13th August 1910 (aged 90). She was named after her birth place. The soldiers thought that she was a nice lady and they thought that she was pleased with her job as when she first started as a nurse she couldn't nurse the men but however she made that change.
