Those measures are called intrinsic properties of an object. Mass is the most common example. An object's mass stays the same regardless of where it is. Did you know that color could be thought of in this way too? If I was on the moon and shined some light on an orange, it would still look orange to me.

On a smaller scale, all particles have intrinsic properties as well, defined by their quantum numbers. Properties like charge and spin are the same for a particle regardless of where they are, just like mass is for bigger objects.

Is time an abstract concept?

Yes, time is abstract in the sense that we can't perceive it with our senses. It is neither visible nor tangible. It is simply a product of our consciousness. It is the way we measure changes in the world around us. Without change, there would be no time. So it is simply an abstract concept we use to measure changes in the concrete objects that we can see and touch.

What does 83 mph from 46 feet away equal from 60.5 feet away?

Average speed (83 mph) is a measure of the change in location relative to some fixed point (or displacement) divided by the amount of time taken for that change. The change in location and the passage of time are independent of the location of the observer and hence the result.Average speed (83 mph) is a measure of the change in location relative to some fixed point (or displacement) divided by the amount of time taken for that change. The change in location and the passage of time are independent of the location of the observer and hence the result.Average speed (83 mph) is a measure of the change in location relative to some fixed point (or displacement) divided by the amount of time taken for that change. The change in location and the passage of time are independent of the location of the observer and hence the result.Average speed (83 mph) is a measure of the change in location relative to some fixed point (or displacement) divided by the amount of time taken for that change. The change in location and the passage of time are independent of the location of the observer and hence the result.

When you measure an object's resistance to motion you must measure what?

Inertia is an objects resistance to change in motion. Frictional forces resist motion.
