It is extremely important to notify your pharmacist of all Allergies. If the prescribed medication does contain the ingredient that you're allergic to (like codeine), it's their job to consult with the doctor to find another medication that will be just as effective that does not contain the ingredient that you are allergic to.

Can you take skelaxin and ultram together?
I am no doctor but I just got the 2 of them prescribed by a doctor went to the pharmacy and was lucky the pharmacist was on the ball. I am allergic to codeine and ultram is a derivative and should not be taken by people that are allergic to codeine. Well long story short I did some reading and though ultram is a great pain management drug all I have been reading it should not be taken with a muscle relaxer and in studies the 2 mixed have cause convulsions. Like I said I am no doctor but after what I read, I would not recommend it.

YES!! I'm allergic to codeine, morphine, fentanyl, or anything else with the, "eine" in the end of the name. So my Doctor prescribed Opana for me. It does not have any kind of morphine or it's cousins drug in it. Hope this helps. Robin

I believe you mean "Oxycodone" which is the generic name for Percocet or Tylox. My doctors know I am allergic to codeine; but subscribe Oxycodone, which has codeine, but so does percocet. I am waiting for pharmacist to call me know to let me know if it has the same amount. Percocet does not bother my stomach but Oxycodone does.
