The Arms of Her Majesty The Queen in Right of Canada has been the official coat of arms of the Canadian Monarch and, therefore, the coat of arms of Canada since 1921. The current flag of a Red Maple Leaf, surrounded by white and bordered with two red bands. The Maple leaf represents the Canadian nation surrounded by peace represented by white. The white means peace and honesty, the red means hardiness, bravery, strength, and valour.

The only 'symbol' on the canadian flag is the destinctive 11 pointed maple which is found in the center of the flag.
