Please, however, note that poor grammar and spelling is sometimes OKAY. It is ONLY okay when your primary source includes spelling and grammar that was the correct way of spelling in the time or region it was written. For example, your primary source may be British and have British English spelling. Also, if a writer is trying to epitomize a particular dialect for a poem or a story, they may have off-the-wall, odd spelling and grammar. BUT if there is no dialogue and the source is from America and modern times- no, there shouldn't be any poor spelling or poor grammar.
