This ment that women could not vot! only men!:)
The first democracy was a limited democracy introduced by Cleisthenes in 507 BCE after expulsion of the tyrant. Voting was limited to landowners. This democracy was replaced by an oligarchy to lead during the Persian War. A broader democracy of citizens was reintroduced byEphialtes in 461 BCE. He was assassinated and his deputy Pericles introduced radical democracy of all Athenian adult males in 444 BCE after expelling the competing landowner party in the assembly.
im sorry , did you mean what are three contributions of Greece to democracy? if so, it was Athens, (not all of Greece) who created democracy.
The Greek words demos and kratis mean rule of the people or democracy. Democracy originated in Athens around 508-507 BCE.
In ancient Athens they had a direct democracy. People would show up listen to debate and vote on every single topic. What now exists is a representative democracy. We have leaders that need to be change. Or do you mean what messed up their system? The answer to that, I believe is war and tyranny.
If democracy is what you mean, it is a form of government. The United States, for example, is a democracy. A democracy is the belief that the the government is run by "the people". In order for a nation to be considered a democracy, it must have a voting system.
A Presidential democracy means a system of government where the president is the head of government. The president will be elected by the people.
I assume you mean "When was the first operating system introduced?" Seems to be in the 1950s. See the link below for a very detailed page.
It was "invented in athens in ancient Greece, if byinvented you mean conceptualized and put into practice. it still is in the works and evolving in its meaning.
The Primary economic system of east Asia is Democracy because they have this in most of the countries that dwell there. But in China they have a dictatorship economic system. REPLY: Democracy isn't an economic system its a type of government and when you said China has a dictatorship economic system, i think you mean they have a command economy.
Hmmm. I guess it depends on how you look at it and what you mean by "Success" Yes, they were one of the people to come up with democracy. Yes, it was unfair and the people and is very different, b ut now look at the similarities of our democracy and theirs. So yes, I believe. It was not chaotic.
what do you mean by introduced
Presumably you mean Democracy rather than Demagogues. Aristotle's primary classifications were Monarchy (rule by one), Aristocracy (rule by the best) and Democracy (people power). He said that they degraded respectively into Tyranny (usurping ruler), Oligarchy (rule by the few) and Ochlocracy (mob power). Examples: Monarchy: Solon of Athens (594-574); Tonga (current) Tyranny: Peisistratos of Athens (545-527 BCE); Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe (current) Aristocracy: Areopagus in Athens (479-460 BCE); San Marino (current) Oligarchy: The 400 in Athens 411 BCE; Saudi Arabia (current) Democracy: Athens second half 5th C BCE; New Zealand (current) Ochlocracy: Corcyra 427 BCE; Rwanda 1994 CE
