If your getting a ABS malfunction, "drive to workshop" you definitely need to take the car in, if the ABS light is on, this means that the ABS (anti-lock braking system) is not in operation. There should be some codes that a dealer could pull out, but I would not ignore this issue. However, the S-Class Mercedes from 92 to 99 (140 chassis) has a computer that if it senses a short, or grounding problem, can turn on the ABS check light as well as the Engine or OBD (On Board Diagnosis) check engine light. If this is the case, you can stop the car, turn off the engine, and restart the engine. If it is an intermittent fault code, the light will go out - at least for a while. However, if it is an ABS failure, the light will come back on immediately when you turn the key and not go out when the engine starts.
GRAVITY. YOU iDIOT
You need to find out what the check engine light came on for. Have the computer scanned for codes. When certain errors occur that could damage the engine, sometimes the computer will just shut down the engine to prevent damage. That may be what happened to you.
Had the same trouble, I changed the elect control module, not a problem to this day.
The average lead time for a tornado warning is 15 minutes. Sometimes you get more warning, sometimes less.
It all depends on the exact security warning.
The video toe tag warning about the dangers of distracted driving opens to scene at:
Driving so fast that your headlights do not give you enough warning to avoid a road hazard.
Warning label on a box that his been shipped is normal. There probably is a warning label on the batteries.
BEcause the Computer is generally programed to ignore the readings from the Lambda Sensor (Oxegen Sensor in North America) untilll the engine and the sensor warm up. Once this delay passes the computer realizes there is a fault.
The term "warning light" tells you that you need to check something out.
It usually is an 'exclamation point' ( ! ), but also sometimes a bell, which simply means that the computer in your car is preventing the wheels from screeching, or more importantly, preventing you from spinning out.
Just have a quiet word to them and insure you are alone. Dont acuse them of bad driving.
