Mine too. 1996 Chevy K1500. I found the heater speed resistor on top of the heater box behind the dash and it had a open thermal fuse inside it. I got access by removing the glove box door but found it a little difficult to remove. I just soldered a wire around the fuse as I have always done for this problem in many domestic vehicles. No. Me No High AC Fan
Your fan motor is going out.
(1) Faulty fan switch -OR- (2) the resistor on the circulating fan has gone bad.
The blower motor resistor pack is bad.
Could be a bad fan motor resistor
Be more specific, if the fan speed only works on high then it is most cases a bad resistor board for the fan, a $10-20 part, available from an advance, murrays, or lee or similar auto parts store.
If you are saying the blower motor only works on the high speed setting, then the problem is a bad HVAC Resistor Pack.
Having only high fan speed is due to your resistor block being blown. It is located behind the floor duct at the passengers feet. It costs about $30 and has only 2 screws holding it in.
Assuming that by "high," "low," and "medium" you are referring to HVAC blower fan speed and that this happens with heat as well as with AC: Replace the blower resistor. It's no good.
Could be a faulty fan motor and/or switch.
The 2004 Chevrolet trailblazer air conditioning fan switch has three settings. The switch can malfunction, and only work in the high setting.
Possible reasons the low speed blower settings don't work: The switch or the wiring has failed. The resistor has failed. A connector is loose or has failed.
