If you are planning on adding R-134 A to charge your AC, then you will find the low pressure port on the accumulator bottle which is just in front of the passenger side front tire behind the plastic wheel well. I know that it is there on '02 and '03 Focus for sure. Take the cap off the valve connect your hose, start car and turn AC on full blast and then add the contents of the bottle. It will only take what it needs. If you buy the AC Pro brand, it has pretty detailed instructions right on the bottle for easy use. Good luck.
Take it to a mechanic...
why does my ford focus over heat when i turn the ac on
wheres the bottom ac valve on a 1999 ford expidition
on the 2001 Focus we found the low pressure port in the passenger front wheel well, hopefully this is consistent with the 2002 model good luck
First, you have to know what's wrong with it. AC repair really isn't a DIY thing.. you'll be much better off having a qualified tech do it.
Take it to a mechanic.
its right in front of the passsenger side tire, you have to pull up the plastic part the covers the wheel
Look in the FAQs.
No.
Turn your front wheels to the right. The charging port is behing the right front wheel, so I'm told.
The AC recharge valve for a 2003 Ford Focus with a Zetec engine is near the firewall. It is the larger of the two lines going to the compressor.
The ac compressor clutch is mounted on the front of the compressor and is a replaceable part. However depending on the complexity of the clutch change out it may be overall better to change the compressor and clutch together.
