It all depends on GOD. but if i have to answer your question i will have to tell you this story: there was a man whose niyya(intention) was to go to hajj/mecca, he was on his way and wasn't even halfway there and died. someone went to tell the prophet that a man was on his way to hajj, and the prophet told him since his intention was to go to hajj/mecca then GOD would have taken it as done! so, i hope this has helped and please don't believe everything you hear about islam!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is no such belief as that. Hajj becomes obligatory on a person who is financially and physically able to do so. If a Muslim is able to go for Hajj, but doesnt go for it, committs a *sin (against Allah). However if doesn't mean that doors of paradise are closed for him. Every sin is forgivable in Islam, provided you repent for it sincerly. However if a person does committing shirk (associating partners with Allah and doesnt repent before his death) it won't be forgiven. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
