The adaptive cruise control is great for keeping the distance from other cars. However they do have one fault if the driver does not monitor their speed . When traffic on front of you slows, you car also slows. When the traffic increases speed so do you. If not properly watched they might get you a speeding ticket. Imagine someone flying by you at 80 miles an hour, and your car increasing speed to keep up with its percieved flow of traffic, right in front of a cop. Bingo, your the last car in line so you get the ticket. The other disadvantage is that drivers become complaciant, and fail to watch the road causing accidents. They rely on the adaptivtive cruise to keep them from hittign the car in front of them, use the cell phone, or talk to a passanger and run off the road.
Moral of this lesson is, only a fool drives handcuffed
