what the hell is spotting To answer BOTH of the above ?s :the pain was normal due to the hood of the clitoris being pressed down and the friction causes the spotting due to tiny, very tiny tears to the hood and/or clitoris. May i suggest using lost of lubricant the next time u engage in vigorous sexual intercourse. This will lessen the bleeding and more than likely the pain as well.If this continues,you should talk to your doctor the next time you have your anual PAP smear. Also,spotting is very light bleeding of the vagina. Hope this helps!

You could be pregnant. I had brown spotting 10 days before my period was suppose to start. 5 days later I took a First Response (5 days before your missed period) and it came back positive. If you take it that early and it comes out negative, it could be a false negative. It is still best to wait 5 to 10 days after a missed period. Good luck!
