No you were driving and it quit.and if it cranks it is turning over. check for spark at the spark plugs and also for fuel pressure at the injector rail.
Centrifugal force is a problem when turning at fast speeds.
Battery, Alternator, Gas?, Spark plugs, loss of pressure in the enguine? is the car turning over at all? does it want to start? Does it do anything when you turn the key?
Turning off it stays off until you turn it on, restart just automaticlly turns off then back on.
