Be sure that the ground wire has a good clean connection. On the plug you need to check and be sure the wires are not trying to push out when you plug it together.
Pontiac Sunbirds fron 1990 thru 1994 are front wheel drive cars and have either a inline 4cyl or a v6cyl engine. They do not, repeat do not have v4cyl and are not rear wheel drive. The 2.0 litre engine is a inline 4cyl. Unless this car happens to have been built in some foreign country, that is. Then who knows what it is.
