You can buy a book, look on Wikipedia/the internet, and ask other friends/people. These are only a few solutions. Additional ideas Most towns have a local library, and libraries have stepped into the modern age and have computers. They also have trained staffers to help you find things on the Internet. They can teach you stuff, if you're willing to learn it. That's aside from any books they may have on the shelves, or can get from another branch or the central library. A local pet store will have books and may even have a staff member who is up to speed on these critters. Also, there are bookstores (new and used) in lots of communities. If you are living in a larger community, there may be a herpetological society branch in town ("herp" society - reptiles and such). Ask any pet store workers if there is a local person who is an expert. You will have asked that question at the library, as well. Become your own computer expert and master the simple and essential tools of web searches on your computer. Even with the slowest connection and an old machine, information can still be had. Go get it. Good luck.

It really depends on the species of gecko. Like leopard geckos don't have pads on the bottom of their feet that allows them to walk on walls or ceilings but house geckos do. Be more specific to get a better answer.

Geckos are reptiles and reptile species are exothermic. Most reptiles will spend their days staying warm and hunting for prey items/ scavenging for fruits and saps. Reptiles have a very slow metabolism and require heat to encourage the digestive system to speed up. Most geckos will consume a very large meal and then take a day or two of rest to digest the meal. Commonly, you can find a gecko basking in the sunlight (or somewhere warmer than the rest of the habitat) after eating. During breeding season, males will smell out females and copulate. Once a year for a 4-8month period the animals are "in season" (or breeding) and the remaining months they are in their "cooling period" (winter months).
