All three of the monotheistic religions--Judaism Christianity and Islam-- have common origins in Abraham So why is it that through the centuries they have conflicted?

Yes, these three religions do believe there is one God. The Jews believe that God's blessing to Abraham was passed down through his legitimate son Isaac, born of his wife Sarah, to Isaac's son Jacob who was called Israel. They believe that the land of Canaan was promised to Abraham's seed. Christians believe the promise of Genesis 18:18 applies to them: Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? Acts 3:25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. Islamics believe that Ishmael, Abraham's first son, born from Sarah's maid Hagar, is the child of the promise. They believe the promise came to them through Muhammad, who brought back the original belief in the one God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus and other prophets. Their tradition asserts that the original faith was distorted in Judaism and Christianity. They do not believe that Jesus was or is the Son of God. Genesis 16 2And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai. 3And Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife. 4And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived.... 15And Hagar bare Abram a son: and Abram called his son's name, which Hagar bare, Ishmael.

- The problem is that Jews and Christians don't believe in: Islam religion, prophet Muhammad as God messenger, and/or Quran is God revelation holy book.
- However, Muslims believe in Judaism and Christianity as God religions. They believe in Moses and Jesus (peace be upon them) as God prophets. They believe in Torah and The Bible as God holy books.
- Muslims are ordered by Islam teachings and Quran rules to treat non Muslims kindly, with respect, and even allowed Muslim men to marry Jewish and Christian women.
