The agent is authorized to negotiate contracts on behalf of the artist. They often have contacts that help create work for the artist. An agent usually will represent more than one client.

The manager is usually the person that deals with the day-to-day tasks to keep an artist working. Such things as arranging meals, insuring equipment and costumes are lined up, validating that the things the agent has negotiated are, in fact, delivered. They often serve as the agent, but when they do, they typically have only a single client.

A promoter is the person that deals with the artist's image and interfaces with the media to insure good advertising, interviews and media exposure. They can have multiple clients.

There is some overlap between the jobs, they can be done by a single person or three separate people. They can be part time or full time with a specific artist.

What is the difference between the American and National baseball leagues about Substituting players?

As far as the rules are concerned, there are no differences between the two leagues. The differences are in strategy and how to use players and mostly involve the pitcher. One tactic used in the National League is called the 'double switch'. This usually occurs late in a close ball game when the pitcher is due up to bat in the following inning. When a manager comes out to remove a pitcher sometimes he will also remove a fielder. Usually, this fielder has batted in the previous inning, maybe even made the final out of the inning. Since the manager has replaced two players, he may designate where the players will bat in the batting order. So the manager will place the new fielder in the batting position of the pitcher and the pitcher in the batting order of the replaced player. That allows the new fielder to bat in the next inning and places the pitcher to bat much later in the order.

How do you become a club promoter?

There are three basic ways that a person can become a club promoter -1) Start working as a sub-promoter for an already established promoter. With this type of agreement, you typically make less money as you must split whatever the club pays with the promoter who hires you, but you can gain valuable experience, grow your crowd and make connections in the nightlife industry that you will need to start working on your own.2) Approach a venue and ask to start working as a promoter - This method is usually only successful for people who have some club promotion experience already. But, even if you don't have experience, you can always try. Usually the club manager will make you bring your crowd to a few parties before they begin paying you for your services.3) Get approached by a club's promotional manager - If you go out a lot and have a very large, fun and attractive group of friends, then a club promotional manager may eventually notice you and ask you to start promoting at their club. This is the best way to become a club promoter, but is rare and chance plays a big role. For more information, check out the website in the related links below

What are the differences between project management and traditional management?

Project Management is more or less of a standardized process for handling projects from inception to completion. Typically, a project manager works under a functional manager (I believe this is what you mean by traditional management). A functional manager usually has the resources and has more authority than the project manager. In small companies, a functional manager can also be a project manager.

Are Junior Manager jobs the same as Assistant Managers?

Differences between an associate manager and an assistant manager may be miniscule or more apparent. The depth of similarity or difference usually depends on an employer's definition of the job title. There are no true inherent differences in the titles, as their job descriptions and authority levels are much more important than mere names.
