Any legends myths stories of being able to have two bodys like astral projection?

As far as Myths and Legends about having TWO BODIES, stories about doppelgangers would probably be interesting for you. "Doppelganger" is a German word meaning "double walker". Some famous doppelganger stories are an old legend The Cemetery Mimic, also The Doppelganger of Beacon Hill Park, a story about the "haunted" public park in the city of Victoria, British Columbia; and an untitled story by Robert Dale Owen about Emilie Sagee. This original story was apparently told to him by Julie von Güldenstubbe, a daughter of a 17th century German Baron.
Now as far as practicing ASTRAL PROJECTION a person does not have "two bodies" per-se. They have learned the ability to project their spiritual essence out of their corporeal body to travel to other places. The best non-fictional story of this is in the book The way of the Shaman, by Michael Harner, ©Copyright 1980 & 1990. Can you use astral projection to visit a live friend far away?
astral projection is made by a group of people or organization that always hallow minded person that the theory never exist in a normal being. Astral projection is something that has been used for centuries. Any number of people can and will give you anecdotal evidence of their own adventures with it. Yes, with practice you can visit a living friend with astral projection, however it will take a while to learn and if the person you want to visit is not a practitioner, you may just end up sitting and looking at your friend as they sleep or go about their business without awareness of you being there.
Is an 'Astral Projection' different from an 'out of body experience'?
The main difference is one of interpretation. By using the word 'astral', an implication is made that astral realms and astral bodies are involved. 'OBE' is a more umbrella term that acknowledges that an experience is had, but does not tie any explanation to it. In popular culture, this distinction often goes unnoticed, resulting in the two terms being largely interchangeable. Does science have an explanation for meditation astral projection and entering other 'worlds' in your mind and seeing certain things while being conscience. If they do please explain what they say?
I have looked into this question and the only thing they are able to say is that while undergoing astral projection they believe the person puts themself into a deep trance much like dreaming.

Do not worry about being trapped in Astral Projection. It is here we are trapped by our inner demon. We are trapped by our own worst enemy. We are stuck in this material dimension unable to escape except by dreams because we our egos keep us here. So the ego is the ultimate demon. In fact of all our potential enemies the ego is the most insidious and sly. It is not so much that we can be trapped in Astral Projection but rather that we are prevented from enjoying such freedoms by the real enemy...the ego or personality. There is lots more on this. I recommend reading works by Pema Chodron. She is a Buddhist nun who has great insight. Any of her books will do. Good visions to you.

Yes and No. Your consciousness could travel to another country, but not your physical body. According to most sources that validate the existence of astral projection you can travel to any place and any time free from the constrains of physical laws. However; while traveling in the astral plane you embody what is called a "subtle" body purported to be composed of some sort of spiritual energy and applicable to the laws of karma. Certain sources claim that there is actually an ethereal plane that represents our world and in that plane you inhabit an ethereal representation of your body; furthermore the ethereal body is what connects an individual to their astral body and the ethereal plane to the astral plane. The primary difference being less of a representation of the actual physical world in the astral plane. Also, these planes are thought to be a few of many that make up a multi-planar framework of reality.
