Slowly add tranny fluid until it starts to run out of hole in center of drain plug ( allen set screw must be removed from center of drain plug) the drain plug is about 2 inches tall, this is the level of tranny fluid in pan. Tranny must be at operating temp when adding fluid to achieve prop fill. Yes there is no dipstick, if your tanny fluid get low, the check tanny light should come on.
