It's when you get connected to the Wi-Fi and you can trade with anyone who connects to Wi-Fi. There is the GTS and GTS Negotiations. GTS is where you can trade about any Pokemon you want, but they would ask for hard Pokemon at most times. (Most on Reshiram/Zekrom at level 9 and under.) GTS Negotiations would let you advance search on what kind of Pokemon you want and ask what level. It'll search a trainer for you to trade with.

you will trade you Pokemon in the gts, not in the union room. just put your Pokemon you want to trade and come back in a while if someone saw it and want to trade. hope it helped

You can't. You need to see that Pokemon before asking for it. You can also try the GTS Negotations and see if someone is willing to trade you the Pokemon you want/need.

To trade Pokemon in the gts on Pokemon pearl you have to: 1.) Defeat the first gym leader and get the 1st badge 2.) You must go back to jubilife city and go in the gts 3.) You talk to the lady at the reception counter and log on to wi-fi 4.) If you want to put in your own Pokemon on the gts you go on deposit Pokemon and then your boxes will come up and you pick the Pokemon that you want to trade and then you pick what Pokemon you want back like eg: (you trade bidoof for piplup, boy, level 5) come back about a few hours later and you might have it if somebody decided to trade with you. 5.) If you want to get Pokemon go on search.
