Best Answer

The dual port RAM technology is used in the video RAM (VRAM). This allows a CPU to draw out image from the video memory at the same time the video hardware is reading it out to a screen

What are the advantages of virtual database?

Advantages You can run more applications at once You can run larger applications with less real RAM You don't have buy more memory RAM Disadvantages Applications run slower It takes more time to switch between applications Less hard drive space for your use

Is SIMM type of RAM?

Yes. A SIMM is a single in-line memory module. All this really means is that contacts on both sides of the module are redundant. SIMM was replaced with DIMM (dual in-line memory module).

Why is adding RAM a performance advantage?

Computers with more RAM can handle more information without crashing. Computers have to store all of the data coming from all the the devices in the computer until the processor can process the data and this data is stored in the RAM. If you have small amounts of RAM, it will fill up and then all the devices pause until the RAM has more room for data. So the more RAM that a computer has the less waiting the devices have to do on account of the CPU having data already waiting to be processed. daman155 In most modern systems using Windows XP, Linux, etc.. more RAM is better. This enables the system to keep more applications and data such as documents spreadsheets and Internet pages in the systems main storage area, which is RAM. When you have more applications and data loaded than can fit into RAM, the system will remove what it sees as idle data not being immediately used and move it from ram to "Virtual Memory" on your hard disk. This "Virtual Memory" or Swap Space is VERY SLOW. This means when you go back to what was deemed idle memory, it takes awhile to swap back into RAM. So unless you run out of both RAM and disk space, you may not crash, but without more RAM you will not be able to open as many applications or documents as you may like. --Veggivore--

Is an Intel Celeron processor a dual core processor?

There are Celeron dual core processors today. However, just because you have Celeron processor, it does not mean your Celeron processor is a dual core processor. The easiest way to tell is to look at the Intel sticker on your computer. If it says "Dual Core," then it is dual core. If it does NOT say "Dual Core," then it is not dual core.

A dual port RAM failure is quite unusual in a computer system. It means that the RAM ports or slots have failed or likely shorted out.

What is the difference between single port ram dual port ram and pseudo dual port ram?

The difference between single port RAM and dual port RAM is that single port RAM can be accessed at one address at one time, thus you can read/write only one memory cell during each clock cycle. Dual port RAM has ability to simultaneously read and write different memory cells at different addresses. SPRAM uses a 6 transistor basic ram cell, while the dual port ram cell uses 8 transistor cell for memory. so the area of spram is much smaller than the area of dpram cell. To gain the advantages of both spram (less area) and dpram ( high speed) Pseudo dual port ram is introduced. which can read and write the data in the same clock, using rising and falling edges for the operations respectively, and using spram memory cell for the storage of data.

What is the difference between 3 GB dual port ram and 8 GB single port ram?

One has 3 one has 8

What is the difference between 2 port ram and dual port ram?

Dual port RAM usually have 2 full ports i.e. you can read, write and have all the controls twice. 2 port RAM separate only the read and the write ports and their matching controls (WE, OE etc), i.e. you can only read and write in the same time. In both genres, you shouldn't access the same address simultaneously.

What is a dual port TXV?

Dual port TXV used when system need a large TXV for short periods of time. Dual-port valves have two independent capacities larger port for periods of high load smaller port for periods of normal load TXV capacity is doubled when larger port is open all the way.
