Well... it's at least $0.05! =) In mint condition, I've seen them on eBay for up to 80.00 but normally around $20. Those that have been in circulation might be worth around $2 if it's not too beat up. As well, the Victory Nickel was re-issued in 2005 but the new one has a round edge. Good Luck.

If there were such a coin, it would be priceless. But all nickels except the famous WWII "war nickels" are made of cupronickel, and don't contain any silver. Nickels from the early 1960s are quite common and have no added value.

Ok, so i have a good condition nickel from 1946. The head has few small scratches as well as a few minor dents. The backside picture is slightly worn down but all the words are readable. It's considerably shiny for an old coin. Does anyone know its worth?

And in fact, there are five nickels that are each worth well over $1 million. These are the famous 1913 Liberty Head nickels that were struck clandestinely by Mint employees using dies that had been prepared for 1913, before the decision to mint Indian head nickels starting that year. The finest known of these coins once sold at auction for over $3 million.

Most nickels, especially those in circulation, are not worth much above their face value. Additionally, any nickel dated before 1938 may be valuable due to its scarcity and collector demand.

How much is a 2004-D Lewis and Clark worth?

5 cents, no Jefferson nickels other than some of the first ones in the 1930s and silver war nickels made in 1942-1945 are worth any more than face. The 2004 nickels wouldn't be worth more than 5 cents unless it was proof, which because it was from the Denver mint, it would not be proof.

Do any of the 1960's nickels have silver in them?

Not a one. Nor do any nickels from the 1950s, 1930s, 1920s, or anything earlier. Nickels have been made of the same copper/nickel blend since they were first introduced in 1866. The one exception are the WWII-era war nickels (1945-1945) which contain 35% silver.
