Shiites are monotheistic. There are debates as to whether some Shiite groups, like Alawites deify Ali (Mohammed's son-in law), but Zaydi, Ismaili, and Twelver Shiites consider Ali purely human.
The Islamic religion is monotheistic. One of their most important beliefs is expressed as, "There is but one God, Allah, and Mohammed is his prophet." Mohammed, who is for Muslims the great prophet of their religion just as Jesus is for Christians, believed in the same God as Jews and Christians did, and considered both the Old and New Testaments sacred books. Mohammed regarded Jesus as a prophet too, similar to the prophets in the Old Testament, but not the Son of God.
By the way, the Arabic word for God, "Allah", is very similar to the Hebrew and Aramaic words for God, "El" or "Elohim" in Hebrew and "Elaha" in Aramaic. (Aramaic is the language that Jesus probably spoke for everyday purposes.) This is because all three religions started in the same area of the world.
