Jehovah's Witnesses are well liked and well respected in most communities, paradoxically however they have also arguably been the most persecuted religion of the 20th Century. The Nazi efforts to make them compromise their faith is well documented, less well known are other acts of violence and hatred they have endured in under both democratic as well as other totalitarian states. If these fact reflects hatred, then one could answer that as a religious body, Jehovah's Witnesses probably are the most hated religion in the world.

  • "The principal victims of religious persecution in the United States in the twentieth century were the Jehovah's Witnesses." -- The Court and the Constitution (1987), Archibald Cox, former Watergate special prosecutor
  • "Viewed globally, this persecution has been so persistent and of such an intensity that it would not be inaccurate to regard Jehovah's Witnesses as the most persecuted religion of the twentieth century". -- Ken Jubber, Sociologist, Cape Town University

NOTE: The Jehovah's Witnesses believe this persecution affirms their being footstep followers of Christ quoting Jesus words that his followers be "objects of hatred".

(John 17:14) I have given your word to them, but the world has hated them, because they are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world.

(John 17:16) They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world.

(John 15:18-20) If the world hates YOU, YOU know that it has hated me before it hated YOU. 19 If YOU were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because YOU are no part of the world, but I have chosen YOU out of the world, on this account the world hates YOU. 20 Bear in mind the word I said to YOU, A slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will persecute YOU also; if they have observed my word, they will observe YOURS also.

NWT.

-because they are not part of this world, (right now Satan is governing the world)

I used to think they were annoying and UGHH but I started studying because i don't know i guess i wanted to see what they were teaching, and I am studying The Bible and i do not want to stop i want to get baptized now.

Why do people hate Jehovahs witnesses arnt they suppose to help you?

People hate the Jehovah's Witnesses because they were "destined" to, should we say. In the Bible it says that the people of the true religion would be hated and discriminated against. It's fulfilling Bible prophecy. And by the way, the New World Translation of the Bible is not altered to fit Jehovah's Witnesses' beliefs. There are many credible resources that aren't even part of their religion that studied the translation and agree that it is the most UN-ALTERED form of the original manuscripts. Hope this helps. :) Jehovahs' witnesess encourage people to study using their own bible if they are more confortable

Who did Hitler hate more the Jews or Jehovah's Witnesses?

Probably this is unanswerable, since we can't ask him directly, but it is evident that he hated a variety of groups who he either disagreed with or for racial reasons. Essentially his philosophy, which made every and any method acceptable in its achievement, was full of hatred for particular groups such as Jews, Jehovahs Witnesses, Gypsies, the Wends and other slavic minorities in Germany - essentially anyone who he believed was a hindrance to his goals. Some Christian groups such as the confessing church also were imprisoned and some, like Bonhoeffer, killed.

What kind of people hate such caring people as Jehovah's Witnesses?

Opinion 1:People who are completely ignorant of the religion. My ex-friend Vicky picked on me because I'm a Jehovah's Witness, and now we're not friends. She obviously was misunderstood, because every thing she thought about the religion was wrong. People come to hate religions when they are confused about whats practiced in the religion.Opinion 2:One of the most organized groups who hated Jehovah's Witnesses was the Nazis. Adolf Hitler, their leader, was very against the Witnesses and vowed to "rid Germany" of "this brood".He sent tens of thousands of them to Concentration Camps where the SS tortured them to make them renounce Jesus Christ. But they loved Jesus to much to do so.

Were jews the only race that hitler hated?

Hitler called them a race, but that did not make them a race. As to who he hated, we will never know, what we do know is that he persecuted certain groups, as far as ethnic divisions go the Slavs suffered the most (most eastern Jews were Slavs).
