Maltese's are wonderful dogs to have! Chihuahuas are too very smart but they do have an attitude and if you catch them on there bad day they WILL bite. I had like 20 chihuahuas and all of them like to bite hard. But since it's a mix i say if it takes after the Maltese it will make a wonderful dog :)
Try RSPCA, all the dogs there deserve a good home.
Chihuahua's do shed moderately. If you have allergies to dogs then there is a good chance that having a chihuahua will bother you.
Why is your friend scared of Maltese dogs? If your friend is scared of them why do you want to get one?
This mixes weight ranges from 5-12 pounds.
Chihuahua, but they can be loud sometimes. also a Boston terrier if you like short haired dogs.
Big dogs are very bad for a childs life. a small dog such as a maltese is worthy and voted by many children.
Yorkie X Maltese, Golden Retreiver
A good dog for small yard and children would be probably a cocker spaniel or chihuahua. Cocker Spaniels are very nice dogs, and so are chihuahuas. Chihuahua can be very protective over your family, and they act as if they are big dogs and not so little. Cocker Spaniels I hear are very good dogs, and are the most well-behaved dog in the US. I strongly recommend those dogs.
I know a lot about dogs! You should get a Mini Pincher, Shih-tzu, Yorkie, Maltese or English Bulldog. A Chihuahua is a bad choice for a first small dog. Chihuahuas are not good with small children, they are very picky, they do not like other dogs, they never play, they sleep all the time and they have many needs, they get sick easily, they have to wear clothes and shoes for dogs in the winter just to take them outside, When they're a few years old there teeth fall out too! A Chihuahua is a bad choice!
In our experience, Chihuahua Terrier mixes (depending on what Terrier breed in involved) tend to run under 10 lbs, fully grown. Some are a good deal smaller. "Pooka," our long-haired Chuhuahua-Terrier from Australia at 17 months is about 5.5 lbs at most. under a foot tall and about 10 pounds ( chihuahua X jack Russel )
I don't think so. You may want to try searching for a list of hypoallergenic dogs considered good for allergysufferers.
german shepards, bulldogs, and huskies are good dogs to fight things off but a chihuahua is a good noise dog if trained right.
