It's most likely Sonic loves Amy because Sega created and owns Sonic. My opinion would be that there are two dimensions, The Archie Dimension and the Sega Dimension. In the Archie dimension Sonic would love Sally and in the Sega Dimension, Sonic would love Amy. So I guess you could say, Sonic does love Sally, in a way.

Okay. This one's a little hard to explain. Rosy the Rascal is NOT the younger Amy Rose. They are two different people. Originally, Sega planned "Amy's" original name to be Rosy. But then, Archie made Rosy the Rascal as the "Anti-Amy Rose" In my opinion, Archie comics ruined the Sonic world, made everything confusing, made way too many characters, and messed up every single character, either physically or mentally.
