They are still "made in Japan" They are only "Assembled in USA" The Japaneese have figured a way around the high vehicle import tariffs the US charges them. They make the vehicle in modules in Japan, then they ship the modules to the US (not an official vehicle yet), and they assemble the Japaneese modules in the USA, thus making it an official vehicle.
