Jesus disciples in the first century thought that the end was coming in their day. (Acts 1:6) They thought that because Jesus had died and was resurrected that he was going to restore his kingdom right then and there. They were unaware that there would be some 2000 years that would pass before the time of the end would arrive and that there was a worldwide preaching work that would have to come first. (Matthew 24:3-14; Acts 1:8)

This didn't make their religion wrong, it just meant that they had misconceptions that needed clearing up, and some of that would come in time as Bible prophecy was fullfilled.

Jehovah's Witnesses have never claimed infallibility, contrary to many religious clergy who do claim to be infallible. One example is the doctrine of the infallibility of the Pope, which is part of Catholic creed.

Over the years as our understanding grows, there have been some incorrect ideas that have had to be cleared up.

However, there was an end in 1914. That was the end of the Gentile Times. This is evidenced by world events at that time. Some 30 years prior to 1914, the Watchtower magazine was telling the world to watch out for 1914. The beginning of WWI in October of that year, and the subsequent turmoil that the world has faced ever since is proof of the trueness of those words.

Ever since the time of the end began in that year as evidenced by world events and Bible prophecy (Matthew chapter 24; Luke chapter 21; Mark chapter 13; 2 Timothy 3:1-5), we have been eagerly waiting for God's Kingdom to bring about the changes on the world scene that are needed to ensure peace and security for mankind, and along the way we have had some incorrect ideas. The Bible at Proverbs 4:18 indicates that the light on the righteous one's path would be gettting brighter and brighter as the promised day gets nearer, so Jehovah's Witnesses have seen their light get brighter and brighter just as the Bible indicated it would.

To get back to answering the actual question without responding to the description of 'false prophecies'

I would say it is hard to tell as most of us wouldn't think of even discussing these kind of subjects when in the company of our fellow brothers as it could be taken as doubting the 'faithful slave'.

Therefore it is unlikely that any one Jehovah's Witness would be aware that any other Witness knew of such things.

Who were the founders of the Jehovah's Witnesses?

The actual founder of the Jehovah's Witnesses was Joseph Rutherford. Rutherford created the "Jehovah's visible organization" dogma by rejecting the core Biblical teachings of Russell and the Bible Students. https://rlctr.blogspot.com/p/jws.html

Why do Jehovah's witnesses call the cross a stake?

Jehovah's Witnesses see the cross as a pagan symbol and believe that it was an upright stake with no crossbeam that Jesus was nailed to. Actually, even though many people have not been taught this by their religious system, the word 'cross' is not in the original Greek Bible manuscripts. The word 'stake' or 'tree' is in the Greek manuscripts. Thus Jehovah's Witnesses use the word 'stake', because that's the actual word in the Bible.

People think and say Russelites are Jehovah's Witnesses but they are not they are a sect of Jehovah's Witnesses the floor plan is like Jehovah's Witnesses but they knocked down a couple walls?

Charles Russell founded the Watchtower magazine and the Watchtower Society, a legal entity used by Jehovah's Witnesses. He did not found Jehovah's Witnesses, as Jehovah has had his Witnesses since the time of Abel. Jesus is the founder of Christianity, at which point in time all of Jehovah's faithful Witnesses who prior to this had been Jewish, began to include people of all nationalities in the newly established Christian Congregation. Mistakenly, a number of people thought the Bible Students, as Jehovah's Witnesses were known back then, were followers of Pastor Russell. Actually, this was not the case; we follow no human. Our leader or head is Jesus Christ. Because of this erroneous belief, as well as in attempts to discredit the fact that we were (and are) practicing Christians serving Jehovah under the headship of his Son Jesus Christ, they branded us with this apellation, which some still resort to down to this day. Additionally Yes the russelites is what many people called the Bible students at that time but as stated before it was not their actual name. Jehovah's Witnesses never did claim to be called by such a name because they knew who they were following even though Brother Russell was of major importance, he was not their leader, only the most high Jehovah God and Jesus Christ are. The term "Russelites" was never a name that Jehovah's Witnesses or the Bible Students officially adopted or embraced. It also was not ever endorced by Charles Russel himself. It was a term coined by some on the outside of the organization.

Which entertainers are Jehovah's Witnesses?

Jehovah's Witnesses do not seek fame and those who become famous do not give it much concern in their lives. Still, there are hundreds of Jehovah's human witnesses who have gotten historical notice. A man named Able would be the first. He sought a good relationship with his Creator and was martyred at the hand of a jealous opposer. Noah became famous for his witnessing work. In fact, in all the earth of his time, no one outside his faithful family gained any lasting fame at all. Sadly, not all of his offspring shared his Faith, but he did have an influence on some of them. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were notable for the witness they bore to their Creator. Moses was an outstanding member of the nation that came from their foundation. Joshua, Ehud, Samson, David, Solomon, Jehu, Isaiah, Daniel, Jeremiah and many others became famous in their turn, and all of them because of the work they did in Jehovah's service. More recently Jesus Christ became the most famous Jehovah's Witnesses ever. He said, "My food is for me to do the will of him that sent me". Again, his witnessing was and is the center of his life and the cause of his fame. Many of his followers in the first century had a similar "double-effect" due to their devotion. Some might wonder, "what about modern times?" Maybe there are some Witnesses today who would like to become so well-known because of their dedication to Jehovah, but that kind of thought is most likely a mere daydream compared to the actual work they do in witnessing. It would take great hubris to consider making an actual goal of approaching the great fame of those mentioned above. I think the questioner is asking specifically about contemporary famous people who are Jehovah's Witnesses from the 20th and 21st centuries which is when Jehovah's Witnesses have been recognized as being a specific religion. If so please see the 'related' link below.

Why are actual Jehovah witnesses completely uninformed on an objective manner about the story of Beth sarim Beth san and the resurrection from Abraham Moses Davis Samuel for the year 1925?

Maybe the Witnesses do not feel "uninformed". Maybe thinking differently about a situaton than the questioner does not make them "uninformed". Maybe it just means they disagree with the assessment.

Should you give a card to a Jehovah's witness for the birth of their child?

Yes you can give a witnesses a card; whether the witnesses will chose to accept it will depend on several factors. Since Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate Christmas or birthdays (or other celebrations they deem as 'pagan') if this has previously been explained the witness may or may not choose to accept the card if it is for one of these occassions. He or she may accept the card in the spirit it was given, explaining the above or may chose not to accept the card. If the card is for another occassion that the witnesses finds unobjectionable they will likely accept it with thanks.

What are the beliefs of Jehovah's witnesses in regards to death of a child?

They will let their children and babies die by refusing a life saving blood transfusion. As far as I can see there are no actual 'beliefs' in regards to the death of a child. I would think that most, if not all, Witnesses would be as deeply grieved at the death of a child as anyone else. there are many alternatives to blood transfusions.Google it. It is part of their belief to not accept blood transfusions.and that wasent really an answer to the question that was posed, it was just an attempt at a dig at witnesses. nice try. (im talking about the first comment)

Does the catholic bible contain the word Jehovah?

The word "Jehovah" is the German translation of the Hebrew word "YHWH/Yahweh". "Jehovah" entered the English language in the nineteenth century, when German scholars were at the forfront of biblical research. The modern Catholic bible would probably not have Jehovah but either the actual "YHWH" or "Lord".

When do Jehovah's witnesses predict the end of the world?

Jehovah's Witnesses don't know if 2012 will be the end of the world. When Jesus was asked when the "conclusion of this system"would be ("end of the world" - King James Translation) he said at Matthew 24:36 that nobody knew the date. The sign he gave in Matthew 24:3-14 (especially verse 14) matches our time very well. The Witnesses certainly think the end of this system is not far away. Note (as mentioned in verse 14) this would be "good news". The witnesses understand "the end of the world" to be the end of this corrupt system ruled by Satan. Not the end of the planet or humankind as is often meant when people talk of "the end of the world". Following the end, God's Kingdom will govern mankind. They look forward to such a change with hope, not dread.

What is is the Jehovah's Witnesses Symbol?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong; But I don't think there are any symbols of Jehovah.I've been a Witness all my live-long life, and I've never heard of such a thing. One of the 10 Commandments says not to 'make an image' of anything in heaven or on earth. In fact the Bible ridicules the use of images in worship in a mocking way.Jehovah's Witnesses do not use any images, symbols, trinkets, or hand gestures to represent Jehovah or Jesus, or anything else in the Bible. My goodness, even the 'cross' is a disgusting symbol in our minds. As above answer says I don't think there are 'symbols of Jehovah'. Possibly the question could be referring to the actual Hebrew letters of the name/word Jehovah. If so, then it would be the Tetragrammaton YHWH (Hebrew: יהוה‎)
