Not necessarily. Alienware systems are built for high performance task, be it gaming or for multimedia purposes. The high end products are built to perform, therefore the Alienware systems are also suitable for resources demanding task such as video editing and imaging.
No, they are very bad with most things that don't include gaming, they run very poorly on the internet and are meant for gaming which means they are only good for gaming, I would know, I paid $1800 for an alienwar laptop and it sucked.
A good gaming laptop would be about $750-$1800 for a Dell Alienware brand laptop. They look cool I was going to buy one but I found out that they get a lot of problems. So I looked at the Toshiba gaming laptops but they looked kind of ugly I think but you can customize some I did that I love my new gaming laptop. You go to the Toshiba website and then find the customizable laptops. Then get the one you like and try to get an i5 or i7 Intel for gaming that is the best then you just make it the way you like it. It only costed me about $950 to customize it and the premade gaming laptops where about $1199 and they only had a i5 my customized one has an i7 lol. I hope i helped you out.
You should get one with a lot of RAM and a really good video card. If you are heavy into gaming, then get one that is built as a gaming machine. If you are just going to do light gaming, you don't need to get the latest Alienware, but gaming laptops are always going to cost more than laptops you only need for writing papers or Facebook. :) The processor is also important. One thing you might want to do is take your favorite game and look up the specs needed for it, and compare them to the laptops you are considering. As long as it is powerful enough to play your favorite game, you should be good.
I'd buy an Alienware laptop. They are supposed to be one of the best laptops money can buy. They look good and are amazing when watching a video or playing a game online. Yes I totally agree from the above mentioned answer. You should go for an alienware laptop. Because it will not only give you the value for your money but also the thrill and excitement which you can get only from alienware's laptops/ and desktops because of its sharp features and technology.
You need a modernized laptop to play DX 11 Games. Laptop graphics dont come externally only desktops can. Look up Alienware and they will have special laptops that are designed for gaming
Assuming you mean a "gaming" laptop, as I'm not sure what else you'd need a high end laptop for, unless its for a graphics/CAD business. Most people don't need the power they pay for. Searching the web, viewing video, emailing, and doing basic office documents require only a basic computer. Having said that: Here are some great gaming laptop makers: (Beware! Some cost as much as a car!) IF YOU: Want to GO ALL OUT: Malibal : www.malibal.com (custom laptops only) Rizeon : www.rizeon.com (gaming laptops built in the UK) Rock Direct : www.rockdirect.com (custom laptops only) Vigor : www.vigorgaming.com (custom laptops only) Voodoo : www.voodoopc.com (old graphics company turned custom builder) xtreme : www.xtremenotebooks.com (custom laptops only) IF YOU: Prefer the better prices and solid reputation of the big 3: Alienware : www.alienware.com (now owned by Dell) Gateway Gaming : www.gateway.com (not the most recognized for gaming) HP : www.hp.com (great gaming PC, the Blackbird, but the notebooks lack) IF YOU: Want a good custom machine and save some money: IBuyPower : www.ibuypower.com CyberPower : www.cyberpowerpc.com In summary, I recommend Alienware, simply because they are still a smaller custom shop that will provide great support, but is now owned by Dell, so you can get a decent deal and a reasonable assurance that the company will be there for you a few years from now. Though again, I don't recommend spending for more than you need, unless you simply want the best no matter the cost.
Actually it always depends on price the features of a laptop, but I think that Alienware laptops are the fastest, and they are all suited for hardcore gaming. I would say that most of the Dell Inspiron models are only in the midclass in performance. To my knowing for 3000 bucks you can buy High-end Alienware laptop which will run anything you can throw a it. I will put an example link of an Alienware laptop, if you don't know how it looks.
Only the higher end "gaming" laptops (i.e. using the Intel Core i7) currently use DDR3. Most laptops are still using DDR2.
They can range from anywhere between about $800.00 badly equipped to up to about $2000.00 maybe even more, nicely equipped, my advice, if you're getting a desktop, is buy a cheaper brand first, then go to college and learn to build your own. Alienware is nice, but its also very expensive. You can configure a good laptop for around $1300.00 if that helps any.l Alien Ware is like the abercrombie and fitch of the computer world... save your money. No respected tech would ever own an Alien Ware machine your only saying that your willing to spend more money on something that looks good but will probably be outperformed by a well built Compaq which is saying alot. On the laptop end, Alienware is actually fairly priced when compared to other gaming laptops and Alienware tends to have the top-of-the-line offerings if you're willing to bust the bank.
Probably a issue with your computer. Does it only lag on Skyrim or other games? May also be because of background programs, or excessive mods. Alienware isn't too great for gaming, I suggest a custom made one. If you can't make one yourself, you should buy a custom made one.
The site to go to is http://www.alienware.com/. I would be careful though. Alienware computers are very cool, and usually top of the line... however, they are ALSO extremely expensive. You might be able to get something comparable for less at a different site. You definitely have to pay for the Alien. :)
Alien wire laptops are worth the money. All of the reviews read on this product produced only good comments and references toward the alien wire laptops.
