you can do anything if you want it bad enough. but yes you can. the 1985 S10 4x4 blazers came with 4 cylinder engines. I know because my parent bought one. it was sorely under powered though.
you cant its impossible the body mounts and everything else is different between blazers and s10s
most likely a 12 bolt 373 ratio, but it can vary depending on the model.
if you have that option which you most likely do you need to turn the switch in the middle of the 2 front wheels all the way clockwise then get inside and move the shifter on the floor up to the desired 4x4 setting (their is a description of each setting on your driver side sunvisor)

i routineley pull arround 3000 lbs with my 05 4x4 4 spd auto. its slow off the line but mainaines speed well, the manuel says 7.000lb properly equiped, i would not try this with the v-6 though, with the v-6 i would notgo ove 5000lb
Yes. A 373 you will lose a couple miles per gallon and run 3,000 RPM at 60 MPH.
it depends if it is 4X4 if so they are pressure fitted and you need to take the "A" arm off and press it out using a hydrolic press if you are not equiped bring it in, do not atempt try it with a hammer you may make it worse
The oil filter is located right behind the driver's side headlight under the hood, this is a remote oil filter, all 4x4 s-10 blazers are set up this way.
