I would recommend trying other medications in place of Adderall / concerta (i.e. Wellbutrin, Strattera, etc). Stimulant medications are linked to irritability in some people.

According to the literature, these two medications are safe together, and with someone taking Wellbutrin for depressive symptoms that has hypomanic / manic periods (common with bipolar disorder), Lamictal help stabilize the mood in order to decrease the risk of a manic episode. In my own experience, this combination caused severe neck and back pain to the point where I could not move my neck for a day (this was after taking the combination for 2-3 days, after I discontinued the Lamictal, the pain went away). I have read reports of a similar reaction in others. Also, it seemed to make my concentration worse (I was diagnosed as bipolar d/o, yet I don't have the manic phases.. I'm almost certain it's actually ADHD).

Can you take Lexapro Wellbutrin and lamictal together?
I take Lexapro 30 mg, Lamictal 200 mg and Wellbutrin XL 300 mg. I am doing fine and have few unpleasant side effects. Was treated with antidepressants exclusively until I had run through them all to the max dosages and was absolutely flat on my back out of my mind crazy. It took 6 months for us to get to this mix that is working great for me.
