Um...not really. It depends. Chameleons are for advanced owners that have dealt with a variety of reptiles. Chameleons are quite fragile and can not be handled, for example, taken out of its cage and walking around. Chameleons are for pretty much "display only". If you want a friendly, social reptile, go with a bearded dragon. They don't get too big and are very friendly. If you want to learn more about these amazing reptiles, go to the website in the related link.
They're certainly not a species I would recommend for beginners !
Many species are highly susceptible to stress - to the extent that they can die from stress in captivity. I would certainly urge anyone thinking of getting a Chameleon, to do a lot of intensive research before they get the lizard. It's cruel to buy a reptile (or any other animal) without having sufficient knowledge on how to successfully care for it !
Chameleons often assosiate their owner as the one who feeds them. They only really tolerate humans. Unlike other reptile pets.
Your religious beliefs shouldn't stop you having pets - since religion is about theology and spirituality - not pet ownership !
Absolutely not ! Chameleons require a lot of looking after. They need high humidity, specialised lighting and are prone to stress. They should be for experienced keepers only.
Nope. They are great pets if you are willing to do the work to sustain them.
probably not a question to be asking wiki answers.
Yes you can keep one as a pet. My dad had one.
It depends how old and responsible you are and if you have the right time. Would your family or friends appreciate this?
No because a lot of people have them as pets and because they are just like lizards
Yes they do. I have caught plenty. They have been let go in the wild by people who no longer want them as pets.
Yes they make great pets. They also are fragile chameleons, if you want to handle your pet Jackson chameleon make sure you sit on the floor with him/her they might fall. Make sure you do not put him/her by a mirror he can freak out, get stressed out or bite. make him/her feel safe and Jackson chameleons make very good pets :) My name is ''Noah Juhl'' I am 8 years old, and you can send me any Question you want to know :)
