The only type of detergent you should use in a HE washer is one that specifically states it's for HE washers on the label. Otherwise, you can end up with such a large excess of suds in the washer that it flows over the sides of the washer, not only making a mess, but possibly damaging the washer, as well.
FIRST- clean off any/all loose - excess... (as much as possible), leaving only stain. Start washer using hottest water possible for items being washed. Add regular amount and type detergent. Add 1 cup bleach Add ! cup automatic dishwasher detergent. Add clothes and let agitate a few minutes. Stop washer / soak for ½ hour (not more than 1 hr!). Continue washing as usual.... If stain is bad, may require a second treatment/washing. This works for many types of stain. Good Luck!

While there are products on the market that claim to be able to clean your dry clean only clothes in your home dryer, this is not really dry cleaning. Due to the chemicals involved in dry cleaning, it is not possible to get a good clean without going to the dry cleaners. The chemicals are closely monitored by various environmental organizations and very expensive, so these "over-the-counter" dry clean products cannot work as well as dry cleaning.
