One would think a cbt vet wouldn't hunt anymore. But it appears that men that liked hunting before going off to war, returned to the sport after the war. Additionally, famous WWII US officers such as Admiral Mitchener, General Patton, and their staffs used to hunt off duty. WWII airmen in the European Theater of Operations used to say that , "...this is the best hunting in the world, Uncle Sam is paying for the hunting license, gave us a $30,000 airplane, free ammunition, free fuel, and he's PAYING US TO HUNT and theres no limit!"
In fact, General Patton was killed in an auto accident while enroute to a pheasant hunt.
