Hi! You should either have damp, freshly washed hair or dry hair that has been spritzed with some lotion. Your hair will need some moisture to activate the curl.

Nappy is a harsh term. But it is very beatiful, diverse and fun. There are many ways to define your texture to make it curly. Curlformers, blow dry, rods, two strand twist out, braid out, bantu knot out. Tips: use a heat protector, try miss jessies curly pudding or any other holding product, use a head blow dryer over a hand one (this will prevent over drying and heat damage) or use no heat at all, many of these styles can be left over night and taken out in the morning.
