This is the ratio which compares the measurement of the waist to that of the hips.

The lower ratio women "apple shape" as indicated by a far more uniform appearance with a greater concentration of their fat at the belly area, are far more predisposed to such health problems as Heart disease and Diabetes. They traditionally have much higher levels of testosterone.
Since female fertility is largely affected by estrogen, curvaceous women would seem to be far more fertile than "apple shaped women" due to their traditionally higher estrogen levels.
However, hormonal levels are a complex subject and work in harmony with each other. Fertility may be affected if any one of the hormonal levels are not in sync.
Therefore, a curvaceous woman has a much better chance of being fertile, but it is not absolute.
