Pooping or Defecating is not excretion.

  • Excretion is the removal of waste products of metabolism from the body. This is done by the excretory organs. (Skin, Lungs, Kidneys)
  • Defecation (or egestion) is the removal of undigested food from the gut, it is not regarded as excretion because the material taken into the gut through mouths is not made by the body its and has not been absorbed into the cels or taken part in metabolism. The only excretory product in faeces is bile pigments.

No. Excretion is the removal of metabolic wastes while defecation is the removal of faecal matter.

What organ contrast the process of excretion with the process of defecation?

I think for me the process of excretion with the process of defecation is by the process of excretion with the process of defecation. Therefore the defecation is the process of excretion by the process of defecation. Some says excretion is the process with the defecation process. That's why the organ contrast the process of excretion with the process of defecation.

What is the difference between excretion and defecation?

The difference between excretion and defecation is excretion is the removal of waste and defecation is the removal of undigested waste. During defecation, the nutrients are absorbed by the body before being removed from the body.

What is the similarity of the process of excretion with the process of defecation?

It is similar with defecation only in that both help to overcome nitrogenous wastes in the body. Defecation helps to pass out the solid wastes. But defecation can not be called excretion on the physiological grounds as the waste does not cross any semipermeable membrane as is required in the process of excretion.

What is tubular excretion?

Very generally, excretion is the removal of substance from the body (micturition or defecation are good examples). Tubular excretion is probably referring to excretion of (filtrate, now urine) from the collecting duct of a nephron. Beyond the collecting duct, almost no secretion or absorption occurs, hence all substrate is excreted (NOT the same as secreted).

How is excretion different from defaecation?

Defecation specifically involves the expulsion of fecal matter, whereas excretion is a more general term that also applies to animals that do not produce feces (such as sea animals that expel their wastes through their skin).

What is the difference between excretion from defecation?

Excretion: Excretion is the process of eliminating waste products of metabolism and other non-useful materials. In humans, the two major excretory processes are the formation of urine in the kidneys and the formation of carbon dioxide (a human's abundant metabolic waste) molecules as a result of respiration, which is then exhaled from the lungs. These waste products are eliminated by urination and exhalation respectively Defecation: Defecation is the final act of digestion by which organisms eliminate solid, semisolid or liquid waste material (feces) from the digestive tract via the anus. Humans expel feces with a frequency varying from a few times daily to a few times weekly. Waves of muscular contraction known as peristalsis in the walls of the colon move fecal matter through the digestive tract towards the rectum. Undigested food may also be expelled this way; this process is called egestion. More simply: Excretion is the disposal of nitrogen-containing waste products of metabolism. Elimination (same as Defecation): is the passing of undigested materials out of the digestive compartment.

Is the excretion process under voluntary control?

The example of the processes which is under voluntary control are urination and defecation. Voluntary control is an act that is normally controlled by an individualâ??s will.

What happens to the material that a living thing cannot use?

Materials that living organisms can't use are excreted from the body as wastes. Elimination or excretion methods vary from species to species; humans and many other animals get rid of wastes mainly through urination and defecation.

Living thing remove waste from their body by the process of?

Many people confuse the process of excretion with the removal of waste products of digestion. Excretion, however, is actually the removal of all the waste products produced by the cells of the body.

What is the process of moving nutrients and wastes in a living thing?

Excretion

What is the another name for egestion?

Another word for egestion is defecation. Egestion should not be confused with excretion, as excretions can be in the form of urine and sweat also. Egestion is specific to removing waste via expulsion or digesting using the anus.
