Dodge has never put the pump on the outside of the tank on any fuel injected Ram Vans.
The fuel pumps on the safari vans are all located in the fuel tank, problems usually occur with the wiring harness being corroded or pinched on top of the tank, hope this helps
It has an electric fuel pump inside of the fuel tank.
Assuming you mean the full-size vans, it's on the fuel pump in the tank.
Fuel pumps for Astro vans are located in the fuel tank. There is a connector that goes to that fuel pump that can come loose even on new fuel pumps. You need to really push the connector as far down as it can go and make sure that the connector will not come loose after you put the gas tank back on. You can also check to see if the fuel pump is pumping by disconnecting the fuel filter (protect your eyes as gas can really gush out when you turn the ignition on). If fuel is gushes out of the disconnected outlet of the fuel filter, then the next place to check is the fuel pressure regulator that regulates the fuel pressure to the fuel injectors.
The mini vans from 1996 - 2004
If its not on the side rail then its a nonservice fuel filter which means its in the gas tank cost to much just wait till pump goes out if it does?chrysler has n/s fuel filters on a lot of cars, there vans, another way for service dept to make more money ,$500 fuel pumps labor not included..
some vans have fuel filter under neath on a passenger side and most of them are inside fuel tank
Follow the fuel line from the fuel tank to the engine and you will find the filter. Click the link to see it.
Hi, The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. To access it, you have to drain and remove the fuel tank because none of the vans in this line (that I know of) have an access door. Sorry about that. Good Luck, Greg
The fuel filter on 1998 Dodge trucks, Dakota, and full size trucks and vans have the fuel filter located inside the fuel tank, It is a non replacable filter.
