The lower waters of the Pecos River are said to have Needle Nose Gar. I believe they used to be present in the upper Pecos years ago.
In the 1970's I fished for and caught Needlenose Gar in the Pecos just north of Hagerman, N.M. This area was lightly fished and I would assume they are still in that area.
