Angora hamsters are Syrian (Golden) Hamsters. They just have a special fur variant.
They are both mammals and that's about it. The lagomorph order to which rabbits belong is probably more closely related than most others, to the order of rodents within which are the hamsters.
A Syrian Hamster is a normal hamster and yes
Golden hamsters are chunky rodents with compact, low-slung bodies. They have large ears, and a tiny tail. Golden hamsters have cheek pouches which the hamster can store food in, this is very noticable. Golden hamsters come in dozens of varieties of coat colour and pattern, as well as long-haired individuals.

There is no such thing as a "scientific name" but Golden hamsters are more commonly called Syrian hamsters - this is incorrect all creatures have scientific names Mesocricetus auratus for example is the name for Syrian/Golden Hamster name derived from Genus and species Order Rodentia Family Cricetidae Genus Mesocricetus Species auratus
There are for normal breeds and to unlockable breeds. I'm sure theres more different breeds but i haven't got that far into the game but theres got to be more. Normal Breeds: Dwarf, Golden, Cambell, Roborovski. Unlockable Breeds: Tiger, Raccoon.
A female hamster will have a longer tail then the male hamsters and female's make more mess then male's.
Yes, they're a good source of protein, but try to use it more as a treat than as food because hamsters are very prone to obesity and diabetes.
..... A golden and fancy hamster are exactly the same kind of hamster, just pet shops give them fancy names to make them sound more specialized so people buy them. They are actually called Syrian hamsters. It is very hard to breed Syrian hamsters, as you cannot keep them together permanently or they will fight to the death. Your timing needs to be right, and unless you have kept hamsters for many years before, know alot about them, have researched and found out the actual name for your hamster, breeding is not for you. Insted, if you want more hamsters, go to a rescue and get some hamsters in need of a loving home and a bit of extra TLC.
