No. More often than not, homeschoolers have better socialization than peers because they are around a variety of ages; young and old, not just peers. Homeschoolers social with kids in soccer practice, youth group, neighbors, etc.
School is not meant for socialization, you go to school to learn. It is also noteworthy a 8 year-old will learn better socialization skills from a civil adult than from another 8 year-old.
The answer is yes! I am in the eighth grade and have been homeschooling for six years. I have so many friends it's not even funny. I have been involved in a speech and theatre group that is for homeschoolers since I was in third grade. I have also been involved in sports, bands and orchestras for a number of years. My source of really good friends are from my church and they might as well be family. We are always going out to eat and to the movies just like any other teens. I've found that most homeschoolers can carry on conversations with adults and kids of other ages better than most public schoolers. I'd say that if you get your kids involved in activities they'll get an A plus in socilization!
--Also, to assist with home schooled children's interaction with children their age, you could take them on field trips to places such as local museums and zoos. Also, the children may play in their neighborhood to ensure social interaction.
It totally depend on you how you increase your social circle. You are not bound with the school, you can go anywhere and make friends. I have a friend of mine studying with UK Open College but still he has got hundred of friends.
So this is just misconception that homeschooled children are at disadvantage socially.
Some people remain alone even if they are publically schooled. It totally depends on the individual how one interacts with others.
No we are not antisocial. we might be shy, but normally most home schoolers are very social and polite. there are more social opportunities for home schooled children then kids who attend public or private schools.
It is always nice when friends reunite. Old Schoolers, 4ever Friends, Two Cool for School, are a few examples. Many tend to use their age group and a trend from school days or a mascot in their names.
That varies from school to school.
Not me, but someone in middle school might...
Yes, i think so because people are more likely to enjoy school and want to go if they have friends, but if they do not have friends school isn't so good. But if the friends do not do good in school this can also affect the grades of there friends.
Sell candy at school or around your neighborhood
It could be school, friends, a short temper, or they are just easily frustrated.
Because they don't like getting up early. They don't like the homework. And school is just overall boring. Sure, you have your friends to look forward to seeing and talking to, but what if you don't have friends at school, then what do you have to look forward to? Nothing. Teens rather sleep in, hang out with friends all day, and relax. School makes them stress, especially high schoolers worrying about what collage they get into.
It starts in early September and ends in late July.
High schoolers in my school do this, but high schoolers with strait A's can go to the Elementary Schools and help the students out. If they do that for, I think 8 hours, the high school will pay for some of the collegeprice....not really sure, for I'm not a high schooler.
Answer If some one is always seeing a school advertised then they will most likely think about that school and they will want to go. plus if there friends are thinking about it then they will want to go and they will want to go with there friends.
I think that the high schoolers should. (definitely not the elementary) It makes school fun and can help you learn.
Yes, but you must attend a high school that has an NJROTC unit.
