I would think they could. I know that certain jobs require certain health requirements. I am a teacher and I am required to have a TB test every 2 years to keep teaching. In some states teachers are also required to have hepatitis shots to teach. I did the shots, but wasn't required to. With the shadow of a flu epidemic I would think a hospital would require a flu shot to be sure that their employees didn't spread the flu or get it.New York State has just recently (late September 2009) enacted a mandate that all health care workers must take flu shots. Report to the health care professionals before taking flu shots if you have a history of Guillain-Barre Syndrome, especially if it has been within the last six months.
