I think they would call themselves Christians. However for a person to be a true Christian you MUST believe that Jesus is both God and Man. Two natures in one person. This is very clear in the Bible. A person must believe that through faith in Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven.

To qualify as a Christian, you must believe in Jesus, that he is the son of God, and that he made the ultimate sacrifice and gave his life so that we may have the opportunity to repent, and be forgiven. Many people believe Jesus and his Father are ONE, I happen to believe they are always ONE in purpose But are separate beings. I think Both beliefs qualify you as a Christian. Thus, personal prayer and study are the only " MUST " in this situation.
